sixminus1 0 Posted October 28, 2009 Just a quick note to any buckmark owners out there -- after about 8000 rds through my BM Practical URX (essentially just a Camper), 50% of my rounds were misfires (click no bang). I took the gun apart and saw the firing pin in the following condition. Notice that the bottom corner of the business end of the pin is cracked off. Ordered a new pin from Browning for a whopping $2.50. It's easy to replace if you're comfortable with taking the barrel off and getting the recoil spring and guide rode assembly out of the slide. Here's the link to the full thread and the replacement procedure on rimfire central. There's a great pictorial that shows exactly how to do it. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=303649
XDJohnTact 49 Posted October 30, 2009 I'll have to check my son's next time I clean it. He probably only has a couple of thousands of rounds through it. He actually keeps track of those things while I have no idea how much I have shot through my Mark III.
Nelson 0 Posted March 3, 2014 Do you dry fire it? If so, that is probably why it is chipped.

n4p226r 105 Posted June 25, 2014 Buckmarks firing pins are too long in general. You can tell how it beats the side of the chamber to a hell even without dry firing.
