It's official, greenlighted, has a show runner and a producer. It won't feature any of the same cast or happen in the same geographic area. That's bout the sum total of the news.

I thought I read somewhere that there is a potential for TWD cast to make cameos in the spinoff or maybe i'm wrong

It's the same world, do the writers can do anything they want. But the show runners say it isn't Georgia for the location, and that the show has to stand on its own. Since the only way out of the main group seems to be via body bag, road trips are unlikely. I can see why they would avoid crossovers, the second you do it, you have limited the writing choices for both series severely.

Hammer down and Rick carries a Python, not a S&W 1911.

"The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the "high powers" delegated directly to the citizen, and 'is excepted out of the general powers of government.' Well his crew left their guns outside the compound.

But yeah, that double action 1911, wtf.

He reluctantly buried his .357 before they went into Terminus. In retrospect, good thinking on his part.

I do not think it will be long at all before Rick and Little Ricky (.357) are reunited.

P.S. No that is not the official name of Ricks .357

This method works especially well for zombies. Ensures a one shot kill to conserve ammo.

Sunday night at 9 pm is a Talking Dead season 5 special with a look at the upcoming season.

"I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man." - George Washington

"The time is now near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be freeman or slaves" - George Washington 1776

"The right of self-defense never ceases." - James Monroe

"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of the republic; since it offers a strong moral check against usurpation and arbitrary power of the rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them." - James Madison, wrote in his "Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States" (1833)
