Any resasons not to buy a Mossberg 715T rifle?

Recommended Posts

only found 1 review on buds about it, http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411550887/MII+715T+OR+22LR+B+ADJ+MB+25RD

and it looks like they also make a 10rd compliant version.

IMO it looks a little cheap, I'd spend a little more cash and get a s&w 15-22 or build up a ruger 10/22

I have one, and for the price it cant be beat. I looked at the S&W and felt no reason to spend the extra money for that. The mossberg fills the 22lr AR15 roll perfectly. What it is, is a mossberg 702 plinkster rifle re-dressed as an AR. It works great, it's accurate, light as anything, and of course fun to shoot. No complaints here.

I have the version with the carry handle and I mounted a red dot on top of it (pinned stock, 10rd, full rails). Also, it uses the cheap and plentiful 702 plinkster magazines.

I looked at both the Smith and the Mossberg. They are both plastic and I was suprised by how cheap they both felt. So the Mossberg is a lot less and seemed a little cheaper than the Smith so why not go for the Mossberg if it has good reviews and is not a jam-o-matic! Just don't buy a ACR clone ISSC MK-22 if have one and it is a jam-o-matic, so stay away from it!!

i have a mossberg 702 plinkster, i really dont like it. Even using high quality cci ammo or anything i always have fte problems and ftf problems. then i through the ammo in a marlin 60 that eats anything. i just was disappointed with the 702 plinkster since i got it. I personally would get a 15-22 or other tactical 22 because i dont feel confident in the mossberg 22lr system.

I have one. I picked up the flat top version with red dot for $300. You can't beat the value. It's fun as hell to shoot and I have had no issues feeding it only bulk federal. Run a bore snake through it and call it a day because it's a lot more difficult to break down than an AR. My only complaint is mag availability and price.

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
