Defensive Carbine 9/8 +1 to GAPP

Just got home from my first practical training course by GAPP. I'm exhausted.

 

I'd like to thank Cameron for a great time and a great course that laid a good foundation to my carbine training.

 

Some quick observations:

 

Class was up tempo and fast paced, which is good since it was an 8 hour class. Don't want to lose focus.

Cameron is a very engaging instructor and kept it easy for me to pay attention to learning moments between drills.

You quickly realize what pieces of gear just aren't going to work out and what things you need to tweak.

If you like plenty of fire time, this was a good class. I went through somewhere around 600 rounds or more.

The other students were great (including DTTuner) and it was an especially safe day. Never felt leery of others.

Cam kept things light and was great with any questions, even if it didn't necessarily pertain to the course in general.

 

 

I definitely give this course a big +1 and I'm looking forward to taking more courses with GAPP (most interested in a Carbine II course and defensive pistol) If you are on the fence about taking one, DO IT. You won't be disappointed.

If you're interested in the CCW application class, I have a few slots left this sunday at Buckeye and Ill post a few more classes this week for Nov and December... I offer that course every month or so. But if you guys want to take Defensive Pistol, you may want to register for the September 29/30 class(es). I probably wont offer those courses again until next spring... its a long day on the range and I dont want to bank on winter weather cooperating with me lol.
