Socom 19 Posted October 3, 2012 "no less than 120gr bullet" what's the deal? that only counts for .357 mag, something to do with the gases cutting the frame

Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted October 3, 2012 Hey pizza bob, give us the details on that 44 looks intetesting. Nothing special (no pun intended), just an original Charter Arms Bulldog Pug in .44 S&W Special. Before factory SD .44 Spl was available, my SD load was 6 grains of Unique behind an Alberts/Taurus 240 gr lead SWC - large and slow - kinda like me. Adios, Pizza Bob
BlueLineFish 615 Posted October 3, 2012 Sadly..no snubby for me
GRIZ 3,369 Posted October 3, 2012 that only counts for .357 mag, something to do with the gases cutting the frame IIRC it has to do with lighter bullets jumping the crimp from recoil due to the light weight of the gun. Adios, Pizza Bob Bob you aren't the only one that a 240 SWC over 6 grs Unique works for

Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted October 3, 2012 ...on the S&W forums they do... What say you Mr Bob? Absolutely - You need that 3" barrel so that your ejector rod is long enough to fully eject .357 cases
