Another entry for the "AK's don't need maintenance" file

Recommended Posts

Using one of those would make me feel like I was in the video game Fallout.

...Actually, the AKs in Fallout were in better shape, despite being over 300 years old (FO3 takes place in 2277), and surviving in a post-nuclear war wasteland...

Reading the poor translation from Russian:

Weapons seized from the pirates. Despite appearances, it is working, inside lubricated some used oil. Our sailors then tried to shoot out of it. In the hands of anyone to take it, of course not, but to pull the strings, fasten the trigger.

it sounds like they're talking about the bottom rifle in this pic, the operator pulls the string to actuate the trigger since the pistol grip is a bit "mis-aligned":

Anybody hear about that new Tom Hanks movie with the pirates? Looks like it's going to be a pure action movie with explosions every half second. Not to mention the somalian pirates will probably seem like they were trained by DEVGRU and have AKs that look like they were freshly mined from Odin's anus.
