Any Legal Issues with Kershaw OD-2 in NJ?

My area of concern is the "flipper-system", although it's not deemed as an "assisted opening" knife.

I've got a ZT0350 and ZT0300. I don't EDC them though. If you are carrying one of these hiking or in the woods or doing something you could justify having that kind of blade on you, you should be fine. I EDC a Spyderco Caly because it's a non intimidating blade and it's not at all an assisted open.

If there's any LEOs on here that could give us their interpretation of the knife laws that would be great. Thanks!

I don't see why it would be illegal. Its not a switch blade, it not any thing all ready named illegal. 

 

And as far as assisted opening knives go, I've used mine in front of LEO to open boxes and packaging for over a year, and not a one bats an eye. But thats just me, so YMMV.

Considering there is potential "legal issues" with just about all pocket knives in NJ and NYC and how the specific laws are interpreted....I would say yes but INAL.

However I frequently carry a number of Kershaws that are assisted and will continue to do so. I looked at OD-2 awhile back and almost pulled the trigger but after looking up some reviews on You Tube it struck me as being rather small and opted for the unassisted Chill instead and now on my second one.{I lose a lot of knives}

Thanks for the feedback.  Yes, it is on the smallish size when compared to others, but that's what I was going for, so it suits me pretty well.  As great as a knife as it is, even the Mini Geptilian is too large for me to EDC in my pocket.  For the last several weeks, I've been carrying the Dozier Mini Folder, but when I learned of the OD-2, I really like the looks of that one.  I've been carrying that for a couple days now and like it so far.

should not be a problem, its not in the switchblade category,  i had a cheapo immitation and cop said nothing when he saw it ,,
