waiting on new brake (cav arms)

less than 500 to include the paint....

 

-I shop the EE for good deals for instance, my spikes ch only cost $10 new

-the barrel I got from aim for 99 to inlude the fsb, barrel nut...it's the mossberg and they ran out of stripped ones and they offered me that one.  Its not high end but the reviews I did find seemed good and for 100, melonited 556 chamber in 1/7 twist is a steal no matter how you put it.

-nib is from aim for 99 as well

-upper and lower were blems and I knew I was painting them each cost less (lower was with others so overall cheaper with transfer) and the upper was 40 shipped but I had extra kit for it etc..

I'm putting it through it's paces tomorrow with 5-600 rounds with various firing parameters I use to test and break in new builds that I do when I make a rifle like this.  I'll use various ammo too

thanks...rear sight was something sitting around and will probably put a arms 71l rear sight on it so that will be another 40ish 

 

truth be told, the only non quality parts are the stock and barrel and if I can get a 1.5-2moa out of the barrel I'm happy on this one.  I will change the stock so that will bump the cost too....

moa is minute of angle.  if you shoot 1"moa then you are hitting your shots within in a 1" hole at 100 yards.

my next build is going to be an all black rifle with fortis brake, ch, and trigger in ss....should be a nice contrast.  will use a 14.5 barrel with longer rail to cover all but the brake....

changing it up....bought a new barrel and will put some new handguards on so my price point is gonna get shot through like a nice 5 shot grouping.  will post pics when done
