CHRI Form 212A Online Submission Question

I recently sent in my request for the criminal history background check, for a pistol permit. I was told by Toms River Police Department that they no longer do the form submission themselves and I would have to submit it myself via online. Does anyone know the average response time for the 212a via online?

I just dropped off an application for more permits in Hackettstown.

 

The detective mentioned that they'll be transitioning to the online system soon (still took my paper copy this time) and that it should be 4 to 5 days for online vs. 5 to 10 for the paper.

I'm on Day 11 now. I hope it comes through soon, I'll chalk the wait up to the holidays.

Not sure what you are waiting for. I would not expect the results to come back to you - just as they didn't with a hardcopy submission.

I was told by Toms River PD that I would get a reply via email, then I would have to print that out and bring it it along with the other forms.

I finally called the office, and the guy from the Toms River PD was wrong. All you have to do is print out the confirmation number, and bring that in. Now I call finally begin the 3 month wait for my PP.

Do not see a 212a form there, used their search tool as well

Ditto with the http://trpolice.org/ site when you use their search feature

Why not make it easy?
