Colandro For NRA!

Recommended Posts

Do what you must. You have not had MY job the past three years keeping all the NJ2A groups playing nice. And all of the back room dealings of ALL the banned and refunded members reaching out to ME, to you to vent and look for guidance. I have had enough. I only answer to my customers. Sorry you feel and see it that way.

Well, it's one thing to bash the leadership if you're not happy with them.  But it's another thing to tell the entire membership that we're all "F***ing losers" and tell us that we can "all go F*** yourselves".  Why do you have beef with your fellow 2A supporters, like my wife and me?  What have we ever done to you?

NO beef with you or your wife at all that was a cut and past message I sent to leadership that was trying to muscle me, I posted it for ALL to see.  Again sorry if you took it personally. My only priority is 2A in NJ. How would you like to be the wet nurse for all the groups and the sounding board for all the disgruntled members. I have had it. This is why we always lose ground, egos and ulterior motives, I am what I am.

Again I am sorry I offended you and your wife, was it the right thing to do? Of course not but at the time it felt liberating.

Trust me on this one - I really WANTED to support you.  In fact, up until that post, it didn't matter to me that you and NJ2AS didn't get along anymore.  It was when you decided to go off on the entire membership that I realized it was more than just personal differences between you and Frank.  It confirmed to me that you really don't give a damn about thousands of NJ 2A supporters simply because we were members of a group with whom you didn't agree with the leadership.  So you felt that it was completely ok to go off on all of the rest of us.

I was a member of NJ2AS as well and never took Anthony's comments to mean anything directed at me. I don't know if you knew all the background goings-on, but some member had added all of the new group's members to a "Wall of Shame" Facebook page. This action was obviously done by a NJ2AS member (and FJF loyalist), and angered a large number of people who had done much to support the cause but were now being branded as "traitors to the cause". I m not here to rehash the huge locked thread on this forum, but that is the way I see it. I was a very early and enthusiastic member of NJ2AS. I have just washed my hands of NJ2AS, letting my membership expire and dropping the Facebook group. I am cautiously optimistic that something will come of the new group.

I have to admit that I like your ambition and willingness to disagree with those who don't see things the same way as you.  Those are GOOD qualities for an NRA board member.  Why didn't you specify in that post that it was directed towards just the leadership?  Maybe these are just issues regarding tact that you are learning.  But, even if you want to distance yourself from NJ2AS' leadership, don't you recognize the importance of the group as a whole or the fact that if THAT group continues strongly and you and others start another 2A group and grow it to something strong, it is a Win-Win for all of us in NJ?  I'm not a paid negotiator or anything, but I personally feel that the feud between you and Frank has distracted SO many NJ gun owners from the importance of our mission.  It's my understanding from this forum that Frank has extended an olive branch to you, as have other NJ2AS members, and you have refused.  As a potential NRA board member, it would be beneficial to all of us if we could see you employ some diplomacy and at least come to peace (agreeing to disagree) with your adversaries, especially since in this case they are fighting the same battle that you're fighting.  Plus, an NJ2AS endorsement would go a long way to help your cause.

Apology accepted regarding the post not targeting all of us in NJ2AS.  I just wish that was clearer when you originally posted it.

Regardless of the NJ2AS issues I will NEVER stop fighting and unifying ALL the 2A groups in NJ! I have been accused of having no filter from brain to mouth, a trait that can be quite "interesting" at times. I was bombarded by NJ2AS leadership that night asking me to choose side or pay the consequences! I bow to NO one! I saw red when I saw that post and flew off the handle. I hope NJ2AS gets the message and goes back to its roots. I will be there for them if and when it does as I have always done. But only time will tell. There is no feud between Frank and I. I have had to coddle almost 20 banned, refunded, and insulted members over the past six months as well for voicing their opinions. I really do have much better things to do with my time. I am still too hot to respond to leadership at the moment I am waiting to see what it looks like after the smoke clears.

Ok, here's the deal.  You, Frank, and I are all of Italian descent - and we're all from NJ.  So I can completely understand the hot-headedness and lack of filter.  I don't bash you for that, though I think it has made this issue more complex.  By the same token, I don't bash Frank for his reactions and approach, which ALSO has made this issue more complex.  However, that being said, I KNOW Frank well and I also know first hand that he was very upset about the "Shame wall" group that Deanna made and Frank did not have anything to do with it and he disagreed with it.  I don't know her personally, but I don't feel bad calling her out publicly because I feel that she has been fanning the flames and making this into a bigger issue than it should be.

I understand how frustrating it can be to be stuck in the middle, but things at NJ2AS WILL work out in the end.  But you're not HELPING the soon-to-be new group by bashing NJ2AS.  Most NJ2AS members are also members of SAF, NRA, ANJRPC, or an assortment of other groups as well.  We are all willing to joing multiple pro-2A groups.  These groups ARE codependent, regardless of whether you want to admit or acknowledge that fact.  You should still be encouraging people to join NJ2AS and NJ2AS should still be sending business your way.  I think that if you had a simple face-to-face meeting with Frank and the rest of the NJ2AS leadership, you guys could iron out your differences and continue on.  You have a business to run - multiple aspects of that business.  One of your biggest sources for reaching your target audience was through NJ2AS.  One of NJ2AS' biggest sources for reaching a national audience was through your podcast.  Both can go on without each other, but you are both cheating yourselves.

In the end there will be a group hug! I will be out for a few weeks due to surgery, etc and Frank is on vacation for two weeks.

Best of luck with your surgery.  Hopefully all can be resolved after you recover.

So again, we take a thread unrelated to NJ2AS and devolve it into BS.  You're standing on your soap box KWADS, so is Anthony.  Good for you all.  Can we move on now?

If I vote for Colandro bullet and I write in Colandro 24 times do you get 25 votes?  This I NEED to know.

It was related to Anthony's NRA campaign.  Anything that he has done related to 2A is relevant.  So, no, it did not devolve into anything other than a discussion about points relevant to Anthony.

For the record, I have no soap box.  I'm not leadership in any group.  The only thing that matters to me in this realm is our 2A rights in NJ.  Ok, maybe that is my soapbox.  2A in NJ.

I will be jumping back into things and I hope I can help settle some of the BS. As far as facebook goes, I guess it's great and it sucks at the same time. I just came back into it and check it maybe 3-4 times a day during the week. I am not sure how people can make a living when they are constantly posting on facebook! I haven't even shot in 2 years. (Will fix that soon). Anywho, I am back and will be at the next meeting in Winslow. I need to whip everyone back in shape! Good luck with your surgery bud. Keep us informed.

If you were true about that then you would know Anthony is 100% behind ANY 2A efforts in NJ.  Maybe you should stop and ask yourself for a second WHY did such a boisterous supporter of 2A step away from a particular organization?  Perhaps there are real reasons beyond what you or I are aware of.  Not everything happens on facebook &/or the internet.

I am ABSOLUTELY truly about 2A rights above everything else.  I'm not saying Anthony's not a 2A supporter, too, but his public reaction to a private disagreement came across childish and I wasn't sure that it was the action of someone I'd like to see in a more prominent role within the NRA.  NRA has many public image problems.  One of them is the assumption that we are all angry white men.  Anthony's reaction played right into that liberal talking point.  It doesn't even matter what happens behind the scenes because the liberal media will jump all over anything public that is negative.  That was my reason for concern.  Also, if Anthony is so good for NJ, maybe we should keep him here instead of his efforts being shifted to the national scene, with the NRA.

I still haven't made up my mind on the ballot.  Anthony did a fairly good job explaining his actions on here.  I don't care what everyone else says when trying to explain it for him.  It means more to hear it directly from him, as it was on this thread.  In the end, I am leaning towards voting for him because I believe that he is sincere that he wants to mend ties once the dust settles.  If we don't have some level of cooperation, cohesiveness, and mutual respect, our efforts will be disorganized and conflicting.  We are probably better off having separate organizations that work well to compliment each other than trying to force everyone into the same school of thought or priorities.

Despite all the other shenanigans you all know Anthony is working waaaaaay harder than just about anyone else on 2A rights - specifically for NJ. Of course he needs to be voted in!!

Those of you who are NRA Life or 5+ year members who didn't receive their Ballots because they don't get paper copies of magazines. I just got off phone with them and they said they are mailing them to members starting today. So remember to bullet vote Anthony Colandro

I have been receiving emails and calls from leaders of 2A organizations telling key that they are voting for me but they cannot endorse me because they do not want to piss the NRA off! If elected, I will remember all you Pussy Bitches! Lets make this vote a referendum with NRA.

Well, there goes one less vote for ya.

  Wow.  So vote instead for Tom Selleck (never shows up at a board meeting) or some of the other options who are cowed by the magnitude of the NRA and are "afraid" to say anything because they might lose their "seat".  This is the same kind of mentality that gives us the people we have in Washington and Trenton.  "Well HE 'offended' me with his straight talk and no bs attitude :vinsent:.  I much prefer electors :kingchris: who spit platitudes and lie to my face so I can complain later about how THEY don't represent ME." :hopechange2sp6nv4-1:

So :banghead: done with NJ and their :roulette:  attitudes.  :deadhorse:
