MikeL 3 Posted January 16, 2014 Just got the call from GFH/WPRC that my M&P 40 Pro is ready for pickup! Can't wait. I hope I can make it there after work before NICS closes.
Polak 3 Posted January 16, 2014 Welcome to the gun community. A wise thing to always do is double, then triple, then quadruple check that you don't have ammo chambered before doing anything with the gun. Congrats and be safe.

illy 1 Posted January 16, 2014 I am envious... My latest gun is in, but my P2P is not I have a gun that's been paid for since August that I'm still waiting on a permit for.
MikeL 3 Posted January 16, 2014 I'll still have another P2P remaining after this that will expire in March. We'll see how this first one goes though.

Howard 538 Posted January 17, 2014 I have a gun that's been paid for since August that I'm still waiting on a permit for. August? Holy Crap Batman. What is the delay????
45Doll 5,873 Posted January 17, 2014 Howard: the delay is the NJSP. My wife will be 26 weeks on Tuesday. That's half a year.
illy 1 Posted January 17, 2014 August? Holy Crap Batman. What is the delay????It was supposed to come home on my last set of permits, but I ran into a great deal on a Model 10 at Efinger and burned one of my permits on that, so now I'm waiting again. My turn around has been about 5 months (Passaic Co. mental health check is the delay). I put in for them October 30, so probably late March, early April. Ugh. JayM26 0 Posted January 18, 2014 I have a gun that's been paid for since August that I'm still waiting on a permit for. I am in the same boat. I applied for 3 more P2P's on October 28th. I have a brand new Sig P226 Stainless Elite 9mm sitting at my FFL waiting to come home. Township wont even return my phone calls. They said 3-4 months so we will see. The first go for initial FID and 2 P2P's took 2.5 months because I made a stink emailing the mayor and added the chief of police. I let this one ride out and sure enough they are taking their sweet time.
MikeL 3 Posted January 18, 2014 I'm in love! Won't get a chance to shoot it until Monday though! Thanks to the guys at GFH/WPRC for the quick turnaround and cheap FFL transfer!

UAT 3 Posted February 4, 2014 Congrats. Now just remember safety at all times. Assume the gun is loaded and never point it at anything you are not willing to destroy.
MikeL 3 Posted March 6, 2014 Congratulations, this will be the first of many :-) You were SO right! As we speak, a Rock Island Armory 1911 9mm is on its way to WPR just before my remaining pistol permit expires!
