Any Legal Issues with Benchmade 530 in NJ?

Recommended Posts

IIRC, a gravity knife is one that can be opened by flicking it open with your wrist. If you have to use a thumb stud, Spyderco hole, or release an axis lock to accomplish this, it is not a gravity knife. I had a ZT 560 that I had to return to ZT because the detent was too weak, and allowed me to open it with just a flick of my wrist. As far a NYC is concerned, any blade that can be locked open is illegal according to their AG. This includes box cutters used at work.
