(GrabAGun) $750 HK P30S V3 9mm DA/SA 15+1 Safety

Recommended Posts

Let me put it this way. The thought of reholstering a PPQ in an AIWB holster makes my right nugget scream in protest!!!! If the PPQ had a ridable thumb safety, then I'd be all over it. But with that trigger and reset, no safety, striker fired... fun for range but not something I would carry. If I cant carry it, I don't really have an interest.

How is it any different than reholstering a Glock 19?

The only real issue is that Walter no longer makes the m1 which is in my opinion a bad idea. They should make both.

Not true. They have reissued it, albeit in a smaller qty than the m2

They are new production run

Edit: didn't see sgt's comment

Sota,

I'll PM you when it comes in. I see your posts on hkpro. Seems like you have a good collection.

The lem/ gig combo is my second p30. Whe. I receive it back, the first one will go for the same treatment. Love the lem's.

and yes, I'm a hammer guy. I don't like safeties and because of that I don't like striker fired guns. I like/want/need a hammer to ride while holstering so I don't shoot my d**k off (or anything else for that matter.)

Was looking at Hk 45's today. Can't decide if I wanna tac or just regular. Shane says I should go 45tc buy I'm not loving that combo just yet.

I picked up the HK45 I did because it was a good deal and the group buy isn't happening yet. Won't get to shoot it for another week at least though. :\

Come to the dark side Bry! I can make my hk45ct bigger but I cant make an HK45 smaller! I WISH the HK45 was 12 in a mag...

Sota, I AM an external safety guy(due to my 1911'ness :) ) but I am willing to give it up in a lem config with hammer to ride for the same reason as you. That and IMO the safety on a P30S is just to damn high to ride.

I'm only giving LEM a shot on the HK45 as I need to convert it anyways since I'm a lefty. Might as well go LEM (v7) first and see if I like it or not. Otherwise it'll get V3/4 converted (with controls on both sides) since I'm not a safety fan. If I put my booger hook on the bang switch I want it to go BANG. I'm learning the DA/SA transition now and am getting pretty darn good at it.

(From GrabAGun promo emails)

Seems to be a Good price on P30S, all others sell it starting $800+, Buds sells it at $840 or so.

$750 + $6 shipping seems to be very tempting. If only I had permits in hand...

Heckler and Koch P30S V3 9mm DA/SA 15+1 Safety

HK P30 Semi-automatic SA-DA Full 9MM 3.85 Polymer Black 15Rd 2 Mags Fired Case Safety and Ambi Decocker 3 Dot M730903S-A5

I've been surfing on this site.  Pretty good prices plus $5.99 shipping is pretty darn good as well.

I'm sore that you sold your Expert before I could get the permits in. I know it's not your fault... but I'm still sore. :)

Ice 10 minutes on, 30 min off..That should help.

There will be other opportunities to get an expert. So weird how you couldnt find one, then all of a sudden you cant give them away LOL

The shop I found that has a couple w/ and w/o Jet Funnel used to have the 15rnd version for $1050 shipped. they just jacked that up $100+, so I am Le Annoyed.

I get emails from Davidson's and other distributors.  This week they are having a special on HK P30L in 40 S&W for $469.  Assume + shipping + dealer markup.

Also seems like a deal? on M9A3.

Also, the Walther Creed is $249.  This was actually a really nice gun when I got to play with it at Shot Show.  Surely better than the lower end Smiths, etc.

After quite a while and plenty of talking about it(as some of you know, and are tired of hearing about my yearn for a VP9) i finally have an HK VP9 LE model of my own. I cant wait to put some rounds through it. Its is just a beauty. Makes me instantly want a collection of them. Long story short i am very happy!

However...I was going through the manual and running through the info in the case when I came across the typical "spent casing" pouch. Its dated for a month out! As in July 2015! I found this weird. For anyone else who has purchased a VP9 or an HK pistol, do you know when the pouch/ casing was dated? Was the date pre or post you getting it? I dont imagine its of any real significance either way, just weird.

Anyone else had any similar experiences with any firearm, HK or not?

Was chatting with a buddy of mine at the range, who owns both pistols, and prefers the Walther PPQ just slightly over H&K VP9. Never shooting the H&K VP9, I was surprised by his observation due to H&K's rep. But his view was just that: people love VP9 over PPQ due to the "hype" and "rep" of H&K. Full disclosure: he is a H&K fan and loves his VP9.

Question to those who shot both: forget brand name, which do you prefer and why?

I'm considering picking up an HK USC 45 in the near future.  In stock form, it doesn't really do a whole lot for me, but the UMP conversion is enticing.  I don't think it's a very practical purchase, but I like the uniqueness and I've wanted to add a pistol caliber carbine to my collection.

Anyway, my question is if anyone here owns a UMP conversion and if so, where did you have the conversion and compliance work done?  I'd rather give a local gunsmith the business if they're experienced with the conversion, rather than send it across the country.  I'd need to have the USC receiver milled out a bit to accept UMP magazines, the UMP stock pinned, and magazines blocked, while maintaining 922r compliance.  I'm hoping someone in NJ is familiar with and willing to handle the work.

So Sgt Toadette started a thread about a silly-vilian HK G36 coming out that's not an SL8. Somewhere in that thread we mentioned the HK MR556 and how there's some not good reviews/experiences with them etc. I didn't want to deviate too far from the G36 clone... so... new thread.

Yesterday I got an email from Midway... they're selling a MR556 complete upper (just the upper) for $1,800+!!! (On sale!)

I put my AR together from high quality parts, and don't think I spent that much on the whole dang rifle. (Not including optic.)

Is that crazy... or is it just me?

From what I've read...  I don't want one anyway... but geez... that price seems outrageous.
