Ian S 22 Posted February 13, 2014 Cross posting from your other thread... how far have you disassembled the bolt? Have you actually removed the firing pin? Or just cleaned from the outside with the pin still inside the bolt?
MartyZ 692 Posted February 13, 2014 I took the pin out. Cleaned everything with gun scrubber.
Ian S 22 Posted February 13, 2014 This might be stretching the NJ area you're looking in, but try Nickjc at Mastodon. They're in the vendor forums section.

Sticky Grips 4 Posted February 17, 2014 can you describe the situation? whats going on? maybe we can help you.
MartyZ 692 Posted February 17, 2014 One trip to the range, about 80 rounds, 2 times, once standing and once off the bench the gun double fired. The second time, on the bench, I felt the trigger jerk on the second fire. I collected the brass and it does appear to be a slam fire, I found one that was the result of the slam fire, it has a very shallow depression all the others have a deep depression. If you look at the picture you will notice the primer on the right has a much smaller depression than the one on the left.
NYMetsFan86 9 Posted February 17, 2014 brick armory has a gunsmith who does almost everything
MartyZ 692 Posted February 17, 2014 Yeah, i called them today. Will go there this weekend
Sticky Grips 4 Posted February 17, 2014 Have you tried shooting with harder primers..maybe like wolf? Does the firing pin move freely in the bolt? typically when the firing pin is dirty or for whatever reason hung up in the bolt, a slam fire can occur. MartyZ 692 Posted February 17, 2014 I cleaned the bolt inside and out. Removed the firing pin. Sprayed with gun scrubber then blew everything out with compressed air. Lubed with mpro7, firing pin still sticks. Also, the firing pin protrudes a hair past the bf well all the way back. I was shooting with AE ammo. SJG 253 Posted February 18, 2014 change the firing pin
MartyZ 692 Posted March 10, 2014 Well i went to brick, they shaved a few micrometers off the firing pin and replaced a small nut that apparently went missing and charged me $104. Here is the best part, those aholes wanted to charge me range time to run a few rounds thru it to test it. I am never going back there again. I will hopefully be able to get out to range14 this weekend to test it out.
jon.squared 0 Posted March 14, 2014 Probably would have saved money by spending it on gas to drive farther for some quality work, to be honest.
blksheep 466 Posted March 14, 2014 BA has gone downhill. When they first opened in the old spot they used to be the go to place. I bought many of guns there at great prices. Now they wont get nutrin from me.
NYMetsFan86 9 Posted March 16, 2014 I agree. I don't do anything at brick other than shoot and home. Overpriced guns and apparently overpriced smithy Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Golf battery 1,223 Posted March 16, 2014 Could of guessed that was how it was going to be at BA. I was just waiting patiently to see your experience.
Fishpaw 17 Posted March 16, 2014 There have been some reports of double strikes with the single hook triggers, and Ive seen doubling from bench firing. Its a form of bump firing.
MartyZ 692 Posted March 24, 2014 well I finally got a chance to go to the range yesterday, out of 60 rounds not a single slam fire, so i'm happy. I did find a red footprint of my stock on my shoulder this morning , those .308s really kick. On a different note, as far as accuracy goes, at 25 yards in a badly lit indoor range with iron sights I got 19 rounds into a 8 inch circle, which isn't bad for me.
