Freedom Munitions - Top Notch Products AND Service

Recommended Posts

I have been using Freedom Munitions reloaded products in all the large handgun calibers for about two years. I've had virtually no problems with their revolver or semi-auto rounds. Their prices on reloaded products are very good. And the brass exchange program has worked very well too, returning about $110 - 115 (net) per order that I place.

Now I have something to say about their customer service. It's always been responsive, and also timely when it came to the brass credits applied against an order. But now I have another example.

Back in December I ordered 500 .38 Specials and 500 .357 Magnums. They arrived as expected, but for a variety of reasons I didn't get around to them until last week. It was then I discovered that they had actually shipped me 1,000 .38s. And of course the .357 product cost about $50 more when I ordered it.

I sent an email this morning noting the particulars. I didn't demand or request anything, and pointed out that it was partially my fault since I didn't check the order for accuracy when it arrived two months ago. But I asked for their suggestions.

Early this evening I had my reply; a refund on my CC for the difference in the product cost, and an offer of discount on my next .357 order to reflect the price that was available back in December.

I don't think I could ask for more in the customer service department. For that reason, and the quality of their products, I suggest that any of you looking for reloaded ammunition give them a try.

Stop giving away the secret you fool! Now everyone will be going to them for their ammo needs. Leaving us in the lurch.

Alright, they are awesome! Give them your business. But don't purchase their 45ACP... and that isn't because I have a 45...

They have great customer service. Last year in one of my orders I noticed a bad round in a box of .45 The bullet was pushed in too far into the casing. I emailed them about it and they asked me for a lot number and sent me a free box of .45 to replace the one bad round. Other than that I never had an issue with this ammo. Top notch company.

Jag: sorry for letting more of the cat out of the bag. But I've gotten so many good leads on this forum I thought it was time to reciprocate.

And it also explains why the brass bucket is frequently less full when I leave the range than when I arrive. Got to keep the pipeline full!

I just used them for the first time last month. Apparently there was some big system glitch that caused my order to be delayed 3 weeks. The shipment finally went out with some "extras" as a show of good will. From all the good praise, I'm hoping it's a few extra boxes of 9mm.

Had a similar issue with the .45 but I never got a free box... Did get a beer coozie and hat. Been using that coozie everyday now.

Update. Finally got my shipment in after being delayed weeks. For this error, instead of sending what I ordered (9mm Reman), they sent 10 boxes of 9mm New. Great service recovery!

I have ordered many thousands of rounds from them.  I had the same situation with one 9mm round, and they sent me a free box to make up for it too.  I normally order the reloads but for some reason did order some new stuff once.  I used all but one box about six months earlier.  When I used the last box I had a few light strikes.  I emailed them and they researched it and ended up sending me three boxes free to make up for it.  I have never had another company stand behind their products like this.

Funny, I just referenced this company in another thread--but forgot their name.

Just wondering, how exactly does the brass exchange program work? Do you just let something sit in your cart until they get the brass?

I did email them asking if they'd make 8mm mauser lol.

Just curious if anyone has done or see any testing on the effectiveness of their hollow point ammo (either the generic or the Hornady)?

I've used their generic hollow point and never had an issue with it not working.  Have not done any ballistics tests to see how it expands, but it goes bang when I pull the trigger.

Kasier: check their Brass Credit Program button on the home page. Details and suggestions are there.

In essence, when you place an order you check the box to specify you will send in brass to be applied as a credit. Estimate the weight of the brass you will send. (I typically get close to 50 pounds of large bore handgun brass in the large USPS fixed price box.) You can send the brass whenever you're ready, before or after the order. Even several weeks after you receive the order. They will simply weigh the brass when they get it, and credit your CC for the proper amount against the order you placed. They typically issue that credit within 3 to 4 days of them receiving the brass.

The only restriction is that the credit $ amount cannot exceed the amount of the original order $.
