Yes. I have one of the first GG&G covers. Good protection for the lenses.

I'm going from zero to 3 EOTechs very soon and this looks useful to me. May I ask why you don't like GG&G? Thanks.

Personal preference honestly. With the exps you have to remove the factory hood and replace it with the gg&g hood. Don't really want to do that. Also don't like the ggg logo everywhere.

 

I'll probably buy a scopecoat.

In way that is good know that it replaces the oem hood, there shouldn't be that much added weight and you when you decide to sell you will have a brand new hood added value!

The GG&G hood does not replace the EOTech cover, it mounts under it. You have to remove the hood, press the GG&G cover into the underside and remount the cover. A very clean and functional installation. The GG&G logo (which I personally think is pretty cool) is just on the faces of the cover.

Sorry, no. I was looking at the XPS line. It appears the EXPS line is the same, except that for some reason they replace the EOTech metal hood with one of their own.

 

I would bet that if you call or e-mail him they could supply a hood with no markings. He used to be very accommodating when I put my AR together.
