ID documents for new FID purchase

Hey, so I have a question. I'm a infantryman in the National Guard, and I just got a job offer at a local range to be an RSO, but they want me to have an FID to carry on premises. The real question I have is that what documents can the police require for identification purposes of the application? Do I have to produce a birth certificate? or can I produce another document? Does my active military ID, or a social security card work as one of these? The only reason I'm asking is that my birth certificate seems to have walked and it would take me about another week to get a new one.

Military ID and any state DL should be good enough.
