This is the extravaganza show. It will be big. There's stuff for everyone . . The last show was slow because of the weather and another big show same weekend. I have never been disappointed by the oaks show. I will be there Friday snatching up the mil surp goodies before every Tom Dick and Harry show up on the weekend. Don't expect to

Find 22 Ammo . You look hard enough you will find deals amongst the gougers on other stuff.

Is it ok to bring my 6 year old?  Also kinda an odd question but should I leave my OD carry at home?  Sorry for the completely dumb question I just don't typically leave home without it.

There are kids much younger than 6 at these shows all the time, the issue for you might be his attention span and how well you can keep him from touching things he shouldn't touch, so you know your kid best. As for carrying, virtually all shows do not allow attendees to carry loaded firearms in the show, but when it comes to OD LEO's, some do allow it and some do not - not sure what Eagle's policy on that is...........

After hitting the shows in VA, the Oaks shows have been less then impressive.  There were so many NON-weapon related tables selling silly crap like dream catchers and fuzzy refrigerator magnets.  We got so tired of hearing the buzz from people playing with stun-guns disguised as cell phones that we just left.  Unfortunately, they are pretty much the only game in town when it comes to local shows so it is what it is.  I still don't think they offer pre-paying for tickets.  Be prepared for lengthy lines especially first thing in the morning.  Bring that coupon, or be able to access it on your phone.  Put that dollar you'll save to something that goes BANG!!!

I was at an Oaks show earlier this year. Yes, I saw some truly useless junk, but also found some useful stuff.  I agree with the previous comment....after hearing the 'Zap Zap Zap' comimg from the stun gun folks, I was really tempted to zap a few of 'em myself (the sellers, not the stun guns!)

It wasn't too busy; I saw some kids and strollers.  The only concern I would have (with kids) are the guys selling the blood-n-guts' war movies...some of 'em are pretty intense, and they have em playing on large video screens at the booths.  They are NOT for little kids!

Most of the folks there are family friendly.  Everyone was polite-didn't hear any coarse language, or see any pushy people.  Be prepared for crowds, and get the little kiddies out of there before they get tired.
