Improving Sights on a VZ24 (Czech K98k)

I absolutely love this rifle. However, I can't stand the sight picture. I have pretty bad eyes, and I can barely see the front sight through the rear notch.

Now, I'm not sure what would be involved, but I'd like to maybe replace the sights with those of the German K98k, so long as this doesn't mean making any permanent modifications to the rifle. I'm not sure why, but I'm generally opposed to making modifications to any older rifle that cannot be undone. I've contemplated putting a scope on it, since there is a scope mount that is sold (and which I own) that simply replaces the rear sight.

You could look at Mojo sights at mojosights.com   Their product replaces the rear notch/ramp component with an adjustable peep sight.
