Garden state Armory & Reloading - Warren, NJ

Recommended Posts

Has anyone heard about this shop opening up? It is in Warren Township, Somerset County. They had a table at the Oaks gun show and he gave me his card. I have no ties to this place nor do I know much about it..just thought it was cool that another gun shop was opening and surprised to hear what town it was opening in.

The guys let me stop in the shop before they were open so I could scope a few things out. Let me fondle everything on the store without even asking Art just kept handing me guns. Also let me be their first customer and buy a box of 9 for $16.99 not the best price but cheaper then what some other local stores are charging

damn they're in my back yard practically.

anyone know what their transfer fee is?

Lets hope its not in the same ballpark as efingers.

I do have a guy right down the mountain in Middlesex that does them for $25 plus nics  plus tax if your in need

So I made my way into Garden State yesterday --  Disappointed right from the start

One of the 1st things the guy says to me --  Anything you want to see?  Just let me see your FID --  I said "WHY do you need my FID for me to see a gun"

His reply -- "It's the law" -- I said, Maybe it's your policy but it's not a state law -- He just said to me "OK"  and we stopped talking about it

No I didn't get to fondle anything and honestly there wasn't much I wanted to fondle anyway --

They where very friendly after our initial FID issue

Transfers are $50 plus $15 Nics -- Sign didn't mention sales tax but I would bet it's an add on too

They had a small selection of cast lead bullets --  not coated but cast with a lube ring -- Winchester primers at $34.99 per 1000 I believe -- No powder I could see

Small selection of dillon stuff -- definitely call ahead if you're looking for something specific

Also small selection of ammo but being a reloader I rarely pay attention to ammo prices and I didn't at all this time

If you're around, stop in certainly friendly enough -- just remember your FID if you actually want to touch anything

I just stopped by an I really liked what I saw. The place wasn't that big but the guys were really friendly and let me handle a few of the handguns before asking me if I had a FID.

The place was a bit small but they hand you everything you want to see off the rack so you don't have to move un less you are sighting long guns.

Bought a sig from them. They have a limited stock on guns but they can get it in the shop in 2 days. I live not to far away and always drive through town so no big deal.

Highly recommend to anyone about dropping by and checking it out. Going back in a few days to get my reloading stuff.

Just stopped in tonight... I got so excited they had PISTOL POWDER that I forgot to look at everything. They did have a Dillon press, some manuals, some powders, but I didn't notice much else. They did have some ammo, including .22 (even Mini-Mags).

Got caught up talking with the gentlemen behind the counter and have to say that I really felt at home with these guys and would happily pay a little bit extra for the service there. Andy and the crew of Garden State Armory & Reloading were great.
