Kaiser7 33 Posted April 4, 2014 Not sure if that's a good deal or not when you factor shipping.
Junior 14 Posted April 4, 2014 Are the metal cans really that much better then the plastic ones? The Plano plastic cans could be had for $7 shipped from amazon
Kaiser7 33 Posted April 4, 2014 Are the metal cans really that much better then the plastic ones? The Plano plastic cans could be had for $7 shipped from amazon To me the metal cans are better if I pick them up for like $5-8. Given the choice, I'd take the metal ones just because they're cooler. But I'm not looking to pay $20 for a single can shipped. I'll just keep my eyes peeled locally, they come up.
claptrap 0 Posted April 4, 2014 $20 not bad since these are new, since I see used ones at gun shows for $15, but the surplus ones are always rusty and smell funny and they never close right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DSD1026 48 Posted April 5, 2014 I got 5 new stock 50 cal cans from cabelas a while ago for $15 each and free shipping.. Every once in a while you can find a decent deal on them.. I wouldn't buy them for more than that..

alec.mc 180 Posted April 5, 2014 Are the metal cans really that much better then the plastic ones? The Plano plastic cans could be had for $7 shipped from amazon i'd say yes. I've got a bunch of both, The metal ones can hold as much weight as you can fit in them, i'll occasionally load large batches of ammo and fill the metal cans to the brim, they must weigh 50 pounds. I bet the plastic ones I have would either distort, crack, or rip the handle off.

Respect2A 0 Posted April 5, 2014 they are 30 cal I have a mix of 30 and 50 cal ones because as said above the 50 cal cans get damn heavy when filled.
Kaiser7 33 Posted April 6, 2014 I picked up a .30 cal today at Raul's Army navy, $15, the seal looks brand new, Outside has a few scuff marks and stuff, but that doesn't bother me. At the Berlin Mart, there was some other surplus place (Not the guy I used to buy from), and they wanted $15 for a .30 cal that was pretty beat up, some rust, and with dry rotted rubber.Pays to shop around haha.
