Is Range 14 crowded on the weekend?

Recommended Posts

I go there a few times a month on the weekend and while it does fill up I wouldn't call it a mad house.  I have never had a problem getting a lane within an hour, depending on what time I get there.  It seems to be busiest from around 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

i haven't been there in a while. how has it been run lately?  i remember arguing with the RM about round limits he insisted 10 and i told him NJ is 15. he counted my shots and how many rounds placed in my mags. i got harassed a lot by him and then all hell broke loose when i collapsed the berm shooting my barrett m82a1.this was years ago but I'm curious how it is now as i might go back. the price was ok. whats the fees now

If I was treated like that, I would have demanded a refund, left, and never returned.  But now you've got me curious, 555R, if you haven't been there in awhile, and they treated you like dirt the last time you were there, why do you list Range 14 along with Brick Armory as your "home range"?

I have seen this quite a few times, the ROs actively check equipment and inspect mags, etc.  If there is anything that they feel is not NJ compliant they will not let you use it.

If it wasn't for the $$$ I would join another range but for now R14 is my only option.

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
