T1Defense 17 Posted December 9, 2014 First thing to do when buying a 700 is scrap that crap trigger. Buy something of quality.
mipafox 438 Posted December 9, 2014 I don't understand this. I thought the Remington trigger issue was a year or two ago? I throw in what I hope is an amusing story to explain my memory. My last Dr. was not very smart and sent me for an MRI over absolutely nothing. I went during the day so the imaging place was packed with middle aged and old women getting breast exams and other stuff, I was the only guy. They have TVs in these places now and something came up that reminded one of the women, "I saw that, I saw on (such and such) TV a couple nights ago about these dangerous rifles." I'm thinking, oh crap, I got a live bunch of NY/NJ anti Yentas here I have to listen to for the next hour to be polite. Thank goodness no. "I used to take that rifle out on opening day before I gave it to my grandson. My husband still uses one." "It should be fine, they say you had to do monkeying around with that darn trigger gobbely gook or there is no problem." "It still sounds dangerous to me. I'm not happy about this." I thought those old women were going to talk about banning "assault weapons" or something.
