Featuring a full under-lug barrel, adjustable rear sights, ramped red front sights, round butt "L" frame, rubber grips, minor holster wear, very good condition. Expect scratches and wear on grips, around muzzle, sharp edges and cylinder. Police trades. Manufactured in the mid-90's, no locks with hammer mounted firing pin.

You folks looking for a quality S&W in .357 Mag, it doesn't get much better than this. I can't speak to the condition of these guns in particular, but I will tell you the "-4's" are the most desirable L-frames. No MIM, no internal lock, hammer mounted firing pin and a drilled and tapped frame with the new style rear sight. The only drawback with these is that the front sight/base/ramp is monolithic - no changing just the blade. Factory would have been a red ramp, but the police agency these were from may have spec'd something else - ask before you buy.

That is a terrific price. Just take a gander at Gunbroker completed auctions to see what these go for. The 586 was discontinued some time ago with only the 686 continuing production. A year or so ago, Smith added the 586 to its "Classics" line and they bring premium prices.

These will go fast.

Good luck.

BTW - TGS has a wonderful reputation.

Adios,

Pizza Bob
