online ammo

Recommended Posts

I don't blame companies for not knowing, or covering their ass when it comes to NJ.  If its a decent deal I'd just go ahead and send it to them.

Same. If the deal is good, I certainly don't mind emailing a pic of my FPID. I actually have one on my phone for just such an occasion. It's a pain, but given all the other crap we have to put up with, it's nothing.

Besides, if they got hit for a lawsuit, they might just stop selling to NJ altogether, which would really blow. (Granted, legally if it's long gun ammo, NJ can't restrict it based on current laws, BUT, we know how good they are with respect to following their own laws.)

I sent them a copy but i was a bit taken back that i even got an email saying that they where holding my order until i sent it per a law.

"According to New Jersey Statutes Annotated 2C:58-3.3., our office is required to obtain a copy of one of the following documents before your order can be shipped: a copy of your valid firearms purchaser identification card, a valid copy of a permit to purchase a handgun, or a valid permit to carry a handgun."

 I guess 7.62x39 is handgun ammo :p
