Probably somewhere on here, but Is the gun legal in NJ?

I assume that you are asking because their advertising makes a big point of how quiet the gun is, and we all know that the Gamo Whisper is frowned upon by the NJSP.

 

The difference between the two is that Gamo actually uses a suppressor to quiet the gun. The Benjamin has no noise suppression device that has the sole duty of reducing the noise signature of the gun. It is simply quiet by virtue of the quality of construction and the components used.

 

I would say that yes it would be legal in NJ - but remember, IANAL. Also, if you buy this in Jersey, you need your FPID. I'd wait until early May and make a trip to the new Cabela's in DE - but that's just me.
