I don't want to be that guy but there are a lot of threads regarding the pending gun laws on the magazine ban. Can someone fill me in on which stage we are at? Thank you for your help!

It has to be voted and passed by the whole Senate first. Assuming they vote on party lines without any thought as usual it is just a matter of time.

One other step after this, before CC's desk, perhaps.  Either house would have to pass the other's Bill (Assm. would have to pass S993, or Sen. would have to pass A2006), or they go to a conference committee to draft a unified bill which both houses could pass.

Fair enough. I'd think both houses still need to pass one of the bills (as a parliamentary formality), but having both identical certainly makes it easier/faster.
