I was never impressed with the scar for the price and I can get the ps90 cheaper but dont really want to add another caliber. Man..this is weird.....justifying not buying guns to myself

You likely won't find a better price on a SCAR 17 outside of a poorly worded Gunbroker auction without a reserve.  After free shipping, they're making less than 1% if not taking a small loss.  I personally don't care for the FDEs since all the major parts are different shades of FDE and the gun looks weird.  I have a 17 in black though and am a huge fan.  Very light for being a .308 semi auto piston as well as accurate.  The PWS brake does a great job of reducing felt recoil.  My father in law is in his 60s and he hasn't been able to shoot his M1A in a couple years due to an arthritic shoulder and the recoil causing him pain.  I gave him a 17 in black last year and he's been bugging me to get him more ammo since he can shoot it all day long without issue.  To him, the recoil feels no worse than the LMT carbine I gave him a couple years ago.  

 

What strikes me as particularly strange about this sale is the FDE 17s are typically hard to find and therefore command a premium relative to the black models.  They haven't sold any overnight as I checked their inventory last night (12 units) and again this morning but they haven't sold any.  Or maybe their store inventory isn't live?  Though I would think it would have to be considering their prices assume check/MO payment so not having live inventory would create a pretty serious problem.

Ive been looking at PS90s for about a year.  Thats a good price but they've sold out.  Down side is the ammo costs about $.50/round.

 

Theres a SCAR 17 FDE on GB for $2575.  Are these Jersey compliant?
