ok guys, i've been in touch with Kharis Sepulveda. i talked with him a bit about the second rifle course, and a couple other courses too. he'd actually re-scheduled the tactical rifle 2 to either june or july, due to lack of anyone signing up for it. i gathered that he thought it was posted here as the rifle 1 course was, as he sounded very surprised when i told him it wasn't posted up here.

he'd sent me information on tactical rifle 1, 2, and 3, along with tactical shotgun, tactical, and defensive pistol, and a couple others. for right now, i'm putting up only the tactical 2. so far, he hasn't given me any "set in stone" date, although i did kinda urge(read that begged, lololol) him to try to do it on a sunday, as we seemed to have better attendance on a sunday over a saturday course i'd taken.

he limits the class size to 8 students, so i would please ask anyone interested to respond here ASAP, so i can relay information to him. my time is limited, due to my business, but the fact that i run my own, also lets me check here when i shouldn't be. maybe if we can get a class or 2 full fast, we can get him to do #2 in early june.

::::::::::::::there is a pre-requisite for this course, which is that you must have had tactical rifle !::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

You may want to add some specifics in terms of date of event, location/range, etc!

good catch sir!!

the classes are held at Shooters in little egg harbor. i don't have dates yet, 'cause kharis didn't give me any yet, so i'm just getting this out there. hoping that if we fill it fast, maybe he'll schedule one end of this month, or beginning of next month.

I'd like to sign up for the second class; the first was fun.

I'll keep an eye here for a date, I work every other weekend so I won't commit until I know that I can attend.

gonna kinda hijack my own thread here.

i spoke with kharis again as i was closing up the shop today. i've got dates for a few classes which i'm going to post just below. as mentioned in the op, tactical rifle 2 and 3 got pushed back, due to lack of response. he had no idea it was never posted here(was supposed to have been posted by someone else). there are no dates set in stone yet, but def. in july. medicyeti.....i put forth the july13 date for ya. :)

 SATURDAY 5/24/2014=Tactical shotgun. max students 6. 11:30am to 4:30pm $160/student.

SATURDAY 5/31/2014=Tactical Handgun. max students 6. 11:30am to 4:30pm. $160/student

SATURDAY 6/21/2014= Tactical Handgun2. max 6 students. pre-requisite=tactical handgun1

SUNDAY 6/22/2014=NRA personal protection in the home. class size=10 students. 11:30am to 5:30pm $200/student

SATURDAY 6/28/2014=Tactical rifle. max 6 students. 11:30am to 3:30pm. THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED TO TAKE BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE TACTICAL RIFLE2.

also, during my conversation with kharis, he did tell me that if you guys had ANY ideas of classes, he can do most anything we went(as long as it's legal of course, lololol)

i know i've said it before.....but i consider this guy to be good. he's VERY attentive to all of his students. he's friendly, and gets his ideas across very nicely. i'd liken his teaching style to my favorite flight instructor. i've had 2 or 3 of those. all good. but the one that i still fly with when i do, teaches as if he were teaching his son, not as if it's a paid job. that's how i feel kharis teaches. he teaches as if he were teaching his own son or daughter, not "just a student". THAT in my mind is a quality that's worth its weight in gold.

Being interested in the Tactical "1" class, I looked on Kharis' website but didn't see the offering (on 6/28).  I shot off an email inquiring as to the offering/availability of this class.   Hopefully it would be easy to get 6 people to sign up  (BTW, I'm an "ex" private pilot also...no longer current).  Did some training in aerobatics back in the day!

good idea emailing him! i took those dates off of a file he sent to me in email. i think it could/would be helpful to all of us here, if he knew that we were contacting him from njgf.

ya lucky bastage!! closest i had to that, was a friend letting me fly his super decathalon from the back seat. he let me do a roll, and a loop....but i'm fairly certain he had "hands on" too. that was a fast, and nimble airplane.

Do you by any chance know the cost of this?

Checko, if you find out about that please let me know. Since the MDTS classes were cancelled in NJ I'm looking for something else and this might fit the bill. I just don't like the low round count. 200 rds? What are we shooting for 1 hour?

ETA - NM, I see the class is only 4 hours long...

I did hear back (email) from Kharis re: Tactical 1 at Shooters on 6/28.  He did say that he is planning on having this class.  I noted to him that there is no mention of it on his website (in the calendar section) although you can add the Tactical 1 to "your cart" and pay for it.  I'm not going to shell out $160 until I find out that this is definitely a go or not.   If some of you are interested, you should shoot him an email also.
