jackandjill 683 Posted October 2, 2014 Understood and agreed 100%. I told them to apply and look to wait up to a year. But apparently they don't want their employer to know they are applying for a NJ FID.P2P - which Jersey CIty requires. Why worry ? Apply, let the employer come to know and then sue should there be any retaliation or reprimand at the work place. Wish there were lawyers out there willing to sue PDs, Companies for illegal paperwork and/or retaliation for applying for NJ FID/P2P.
ryan_j 0 Posted October 2, 2014 Then he wins. Thats the plan How can he win against standing precedent? Jersey City is just one. The City of Paterson was similarly slapped around (Perez). This is a blatant violation of the law, and the judge (Grall) who ruled is pretty much a hard core anti. She wrote the opinion for Wheeler and Daudelin when NJ decided their badges weren't holy enough for retired LEO carry. Even she can't bring herself to write a decision contrary to the law. Thankfully my workplace is gun friendly. If I could get a CCW I would probably be able to carry too.
