G2R R.I.P. Ammo "The last round you'll ever need" ?

Recommended Posts

I think there is a pretty long thread on this ammo not to long ago. I think the conclusion was just buy a proven defensive round and don't fall for gimmicks. With that said I wouldn't want to be shot by any round no matter what it looks like or is marketed to do

this signature exceeds the 15 character count capacity

So lets think about this for a second. Initially the front of the bullet fragments like a glaser which is bad for penetration, then the remaining part continues on like a fmj. I'm not sure combining the two worst penetration characteristics of other rounds into one round is going to vault it magically into a wonder round. I'll stick with HST's.

Sounds like a prosecutor would have a field day with an ammo named "R.I.P."

Which is funny (or sad) since the ammunition itself is trash from a terminal ballistics standpoint. Unless he was bringing a case that the shooter was intentionally trying to maim his target.

But a fool and his money...
