It's an interesting concept but from what I understand, not executed very well -- way to extreme to be realistic is what I read most of the time

Just wanted to say this is a beautiful choice and something I personally am very interested in.  I obviously have a huge list of firearms I want to buy now that I am in Florida... shoot I have a list of stuff I wanted back in Jersey lol.

 

My first purchase was something that fulfilled absolutely no real need other than a big want.  I wanted to make my first purchase a pistol, because I simply couldn't do it in Jersey (I mean i COULD but couldn't, know what I mean, I could not just wake up and decide I wanted a hand gun and I was going to buy one) ... and there was that ridiculous deal for the Sig P226 MK25 that I believe mikka showed us on this forum... I want to say I saw it the night before I moved... we we supposed to leave on Monday but we spent the entire day loading up and then decided to leave Tuesday morning.  So Monday night I am laying on the floor of my bedroom with one blanket and another blanket rolled up as a pillow lol... almost all I own packed away save for the clothes I'm wearing and the clothes I'll change into after the morning shower, and some personal stuff in the bags I'll take in my Jeep the drive down...and I read about that MK25 for $774.99 ... significantly cheaper than wholesale cost.  Well I had to have it, I wanted one for a long time, and every forum I posted on all came back heavily in support of that handgun as an immediate purchase-need.  I wanted a handgun, I knew I could go get an AK (not an AR guy at the present) w/ all the features etc.. but this called out to me.

 

 

 

I *really* need a CCW gun for EDC because my G23 is a little too big & noticeable for my size, and the P226 is definitely not a EDC gun... I should have spent my money on a G27 but no... MK25.  I'd really like a few .22LR pistols like a 1911 .22LR, PPK/S .22LR, and GSG-5K .22LR.... and could use an AK and AR-308 for my new yard.... but nope , I leave NJ and buy me a full-size 9mm combat pistol lol.

 

Ahh well.  It looks great and feels even better in the hand, and it made me happy so what more can you ask, right?  But that AK you got there, very very tempting.

      In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.

      27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.

      I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
