This is a clear market indicator of the oversupply that continues to build in both ammo and the AR platform.  There is no longer time for the manufacturers to cut back, its already in the pipeline.

They have tried to control prices by bringing them down slowly, but it's late in the game for that to work. More significant action is needed to bring the market back in balance.

At some point prices must be cut further to entice buyers to clear out the backlog.  We have seen some of this in Q1-Q2 this year.  If prices don't drop significantly in Q3, we should see some fantastic  "Best Friday" sales in Q4 as both manufacturers and dealers scramble to liquidate inventory and close the books on 2014.

This is what I have been saying also.  The pendulum has to swing the other way.  Get ready, keep and eye out, and be ready to move on the bottoming out before it swings back up to achieve a new balance.  Only caveat is the nutbag lurking in the wings we do not know about.  Need to start ramping up the political side also.  We need to keep and turn around some federal elections this November.  If Bell could only beat Booker.

I recall hearing second hand that there will be a brief period where there will be an ammo glut in almost every common caliber, including .22LR.  Prices will fall through the floor then slowly creep back up to normal (and fair) market prices.  I forget what the original source was but if you Google it, you can probably find the article.
