Forget OGAM, How About One Gun Every 90 Days

Recommended Posts

From a city that got it's hands slapped by the state courts for doing basically the same thing four years ago.  These elected officials continue to refuse to confront the real problems.  There is a real reason why Cleveland is known as the "Mistake by the Lake".

You are giving ideas to the idiots in Trenton.

By tomorrow, the headlines will read, "NJ Democrats propose 6 month period between firearm purchases, to include water guns sold in Walmart"

Don't forget the ban on high capacity super soakers.

All these one gun a "fill in the blank" limits are stupid.  I sort of understand the concept of making someone wait a period of time before they buy their first gun, especially in states that don't have stupid P2P rules like NJ.  The goal is to stop someone that all of a sudden has a score to settle and decides they are gong to kill someone.  Hopefully they cool down during that wait period which is typically three days.  BUT and its a big but, after they already own one gun there is no value in that as if they want to kill someone they already have a gun to do it with.  OGAM should be killed.

The only goal is to reduce gun ownership.

Of course they said the reason for our OGAM was to stop straw purchases which we all know is B.S. no one in this shithole is going to go through the permit process to buy firearms just to sell them to prohibited people.

This is, of course, completely logical.  But we have learned how little importance our legislators attach to logic.

Yes, this is the reason they gave.

But I believe this is the real reason.

And the 1 gun per X law really works, because Lil Willie on the corner in Newark checks your back ground and buying history before he sells you the gun he picked up at last nights burglary

And even he requires "paperwork"  too.  It looks like this

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
