rifle case recommendation for a savage 338 lapua scoped rifle

Yes the 110ba,i got the vortex viper pst 6x24x50.

I haven't shot it yet but will be at SJSC.

You'll like it.  Shot one recently and was really impressed by the workmanship.  Pretty mild recoil considering its a 338 Lapua.

Pelicans are AWESOME!

Don't ask how I managed to do this, but I knocked a pelican case containing my Colt 6940/ACOG down a flight of metal stairs. It hit the bottom HARD. I thought for sure I was screwed.

Didn't even lose zero on the optic.

 

If it can survive that, it will do fine with the airport baggage handler monkeys. No offense to airport baggage handlers intended.

 

Pelican is the only case I'll pack my rifles in to travel.

I shot one last Oct at CJ's wounded warrior day and I agree, I was surprised at how mild the recoil was.
