AlDente67 563 Posted July 25, 2014 So visiting the elderly parents the other day, and dad gave me back my pump action Daisy pellet/BB rifle that he took away when I was 13 because I was shooting everything in the yard. The funniest time, in retrospect, was when my mother went to water some plants and the metal watering can was leaking out of about 30 fresh holes in the sides. That was the end of that. So I gave it to my 13 year old son. He was thrilled. The odd thing is that he plays Call of Duty every chance he gets, but always cringed when I offered to take him to a range to shoot things similar to his game weapons. maybe now he'll move on up to the AR eventually. I think I ruined it initially when someone handed him a .45 pistol and he got scared of the flash and recoil. Interesting that a cheapo BB gun still works flawlessly after 35 years. DeerSlayer 241 Posted July 25, 2014 How long until everything in your yard has holes in it too? Hahha. I'll never forget my dad asking "Hey Moron! why would you shoot the Windows out of the garage?!?!?" My answer: "because I liked the sound the glass made when it shattered on the first one, figured I was already in trouble so I may as well break the rest." LoL... Yes you could still beat your kids back then, but he didn't, he laughed instead. I didn't get my BB gun back until I graduated college and bought my first house...
