Respect2A 0 Posted August 15, 2014 I would involve the authorities for sure. Probably not a good idea. Ranges are already under the microscope, especially in NJ. The last thing a range wants is bringing negative attention to itself. Offending parties should be kicked and banned from the range and any others that wish to join in blackballing the offenders. If someone up and stole a bunch of money than by all means prosecute. But if it's this shady backroom stuff the best course of action would be a banning. medic2264 11 Posted August 15, 2014 Did the membership do the hiring? Was a 1099 issued? Any other perks involved? If he is considered an employee, Workmans comp.? SS tax? I've got a couple of questions: 1. So is the club a "not for profit" or a "private corporation"? 2. Who else on the board (and their family members) are on the payroll? It would be interesting to see the amounts paid out the the BOD and family members and the breakdown of what the payments were for. 3. How was the rate of pay set @ $102,000 for the one board member, was this a vote by the general membership or an executive decision? 4. Is there a job description posted for project manager, and what are the qualifications? 5. So the membership is looking into some Tom Foollery thats been going on with the checkbook and the BOD. So the BOD gets a(n) (defense) attorney to advise them (the BOD) on the MEMBERSHIPS' DIME. Why is the membership paying for the legal defense of the BOD, and what's this gonna cost the membership? 6. Is the project manager position a "contract position" that is awarded out by the BOD? 7. Who do I PM on here to get access to the CJR&PC section. monmouth 19 Posted August 16, 2014 They should bulldoze the entire club and start fresh. The first and primary objective would be to install a 1000 yard rifle range (yes, it can fit). That's all I care about right now

That's all I care about right now That would be great. Unfortunately, I was told the town won't allow it. That we can't expand the footprint of the current range. Don't know if that's true or not. Also been told that with the power lines beyond the High Power and GP ranges, they can't expand.
blksheep 466 Posted August 17, 2014 Its really a great club. Minus those things.
Vlad G 345 Posted August 17, 2014 1000 yards sound nice, but a lot of our shooters have trouble hitting things at 100. Building 1000 range would be a waste of money and probably impossible

Building 1000 range would be a waste of money and probably impossibleIm an admittedly mediocre shooter but I have to really concentrate to get moa groups at the 300yd rabge even with a precision rifle and ammo. That being said 500 or 1k would be nice. They would have to allow 50bmg though.
Vlad G 345 Posted August 17, 2014 If people don't fell changed by the 300y range, then you need to make your targets small, stop shooting from benches and sand bags, and before you takes a shot run as fast as you can around the club house ms get on the rifle sucking wind. Blake 50 Posted August 17, 2014 Is this the start of a new match?? Obstacle/long range shoot. Get through a trivial obstacle near the clubhouse, shoot a 3 shot group from prone on the hp range. Im in.

Im in. You could have three gun that way. Shoot the pistol/shotgun portion in the pits, then make the shooter run to the HP range for the rifle portion.
