That is an unbelievable price for a new Mini-14. I think I paid more than that in the 1980s. I guess the $500ish ARs just drove their prices down by necessity over the last couple years.

Fark me with a pitchfork. I was going to go there too, and I KNOW I would have had that cash. Man, I'm pretty bummed. Back when I listened to people's advice to get an AR instead of a mini, I was looking for $450 as a good deal on a mini.

 

I suppose there's no store I could contact about that.

alot of their inventory is from Police dept trade ins, some are confiscated or dept duty guns.

At every Oaks show i visit first 3 dealers/tables.

1. Phoenix Distrib(Tons of police trade ins and they ship to NJ dealer, Big Ray is the owner)

2. Chestnut Ridge for ammo and surplus stuff(Dan gets his inventory from Dansammo)

3. Big Mike from ProofHouse Inc for surplus rifles(he buys a lot of estates)

 

I would say 30-40% of the other dealers at the shows get their inventory from 1 & 2 dealers.
