checko 180 Posted August 7, 2014 After my recent class I now know my rifle is too short for the grip angle I currently use.. My wrist kept turning down and started to hurt. I'm looking at these two grips but reviews say their kind of narrow. Anything else I should look at?
Vlad G 345 Posted August 7, 2014 I think grips are like underwear. They are cheap enough, not all of them fit everyone the same, and you don't want to borrow your roommates. Try a few different ones you can always unload them for a few bucks less to other people
High Exposure 5,662 Posted August 8, 2014 I have both and prefer the BCM for completely unknown reasons.
checko 180 Posted August 8, 2014 I have both and prefer the BCM for completely unknown reasons. Do you feel either is to "skinny"? Or do you have carny hands anyway?
High Exposure 5,662 Posted August 8, 2014 I have hands like a 12 year old Swedish girl. I have TD, BCM Mod 1, MOE, MOE-K, and MIAD (medium insert) grips. They all work, they all feel solid, but if I have my druthers I would have BCM on all rifles that I intend to shoot standing more than prone or seated. It is completely subjective and I can't put my finger on exactly why. BCM also has a Mod-3 which is a "fatter" version of the Mod 1.
MidwestPX 172 Posted August 8, 2014 I prefer the BCM to the K grip based on grip texture. The BCM feels better in my hand. More positive grip feeling to me.
Displaced Texan 11,731 Posted August 8, 2014 I have tried several grips over the years, but find I am most comfortable with the BCM Mod 0. I have switched all of my AR's to this grip.
bhunted 887 Posted August 8, 2014 I'm partial to the MIAD grip. Great feel, nice storage especially with the rubber insert. Keeps extra round, batteries and I drill very fine holes in order to hold those dang thin hex wrenches for various optics and add-0ns... Also, Magpul has this rubber grip.. MOE..., has a great feel that makes your grip feel really secured. Also if you shoot in wet climates... Here is the MOE...http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2319198047/magpul-moe-plus-pistol-grip-ar-15-rubber

n4p226r 105 Posted August 8, 2014 i have the bcm mod 1 on 2 rifles. i dont notice any issues. i greatly prefer the grip angle and i have freakish size hands. if you are worried get the mod 3.
Kimber45 3 Posted August 10, 2014 Hey Checko I just got my first BCM Mod 3. It has the more steeper angle, beavertail grip and the tab on the bottom that covers the gap between the triggerguard and handgrip. I really like it. It seems to be as wide as the Magpul MOE+. The plastic has very positive grip texture and fits nice and slip free.installs easy. If you want to check it out. Let me know...

tuktuk 16 Posted August 10, 2014 I switched between dozen grips including the ones u listed ... ended up with ERGO Sure Grip on all of my rifles....
checko 180 Posted August 28, 2014 So I finally got the BCM Mod 2 in and installed. Little weird so far, feels like I have way to much finger on the trigger (with back strap #3) but I can instantly feel a better wrist angle and makes the gun feel easier to handle. Stupid question but I should loctite the screw in yeah? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Displaced Texan 11,731 Posted August 28, 2014 I've never used Loctite on the grip screw. Ever.
High Exposure 5,662 Posted August 28, 2014 I use a small drop of Blue Loctite on everything - including grip screws - and I use a paint pen to put witness marks on everything I can see that needs to stay tight.
checko 180 Posted August 28, 2014 Loctite won't hurt. Is having more finger on the trigger common with a lower angle grip? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

FLHX 1 Posted August 28, 2014 I switched between dozen grips including the ones u listed ... ended up with ERGO Sure Grip on all of my rifles.... I totally agree with this. I like the feel of the Ergo grip better than any other grip I have used so far. I know it wasn't included in your choices but for $20 bucks may as well give it a try you can always get rid of it if you don't like it.
