Carcano, I read this post when it first started and was not happy the way it transpired between you and R & R. It seems that something simple got blown out of proporsion on both of your parts. You said your side of the story and bad mouthed the business which I believe is very one sided. Okay now it goes away and then you bring it up again in April of this year again WHY to hurt the mans business again. If I were him I would be pissed also and try and retaliate back against you also. Why don't you let a sleeping dog lay there. You seem very vindictive .  Buster

Really? so you would be ok with having all your personal information on another gun related sight posted for any one to see. why don't you post your personal info and home address here for all to see. don't forget to give the location to your gun safe and the combo too. don't worry its not like thieves ever troll websights to find out where to steal things of value such as firearms. so in your post you say that if you were the store owner you would try and retaliate and then the following sentence you suggest to let a sleeping dog lay. well which is it? fight or bitch out? Why retaliate instead of trying to resolve the problem?  To me it looks like R&R is the one being vindictive!

This is why I wrote my review, to prevent others from making the same mistake and NEVER intended to start a fight with R&R.

 

This thread went untouched for some time as nothing came about and all was said to be over and done with, but after finding his latest post I posted about it here and on other sites. I am not trying to hurt R&Rs business, I let others judge based on what I (as a customer) experienced and they can make informed decision to deal with them or not.

 

One thing I will not allow is someone to post false statements claiming to have been made by me, for example, he insisted I was buying and immediately reselling guns but after having spoken to ATF and State Police I confirmed what I already knew...I hadn't violated any Federal/State law by liquidating my own personal collection. The folks I spoke with from both agencies agreed that buyer remorse and selling to further a collection are legitimate reasons to dispose of unwanted/needed firearms, I followed the law 100% yet this jerk makes me look like some kind of criminal.

 

I know that Joe (as a business owner) is upset by my review, but he could have handled this in a far more appropriate manner. Why continue to stalk me online and make false statements? he walked himself into a corner and is now taking it out on the (former) customer over a review. How is it that I've dealt with nearly a dozen NJ FFL's over the last 3-4 years and never once had a problem? he has a grunge against me over that review and I will not remove it, I'm not giving in and will not let some jerk label me as a criminal!!

Joe Goldberg made numerous claims that I was "illegally" buying/selling firearms. He found my Gun Broker listings and without asking why I was selling (what turned out to be a liquidation of my collection) he decided I was "in the business" without an FFL. He has labeled me as a criminal in his posts.

 

Would YOU tolerate that? would YOU let some jerk post false statements claiming to have come from you online and label you a CRIMINAL for the world to see?

 

He wouldn't accept a transfer of two or three Chinese SKS rifles since he though I would resell them and "undercut him", I wanted those SKS's as they were service grade and two rifles could be stripped to build a complete one. This guy never though to ask why I wanted two-three SKS rifles instead he appointed himself detective, judge, jury and executioner and labeled me an illegal dealer.

 

Those false statements will remain online for years and may very well hinder my ability to deal with other stores as a simple Google search of my name or address will turn up those false statements.

 

He knows he was wrong and walked himself into a corner, he has no way out except to slander me with false statements and accusations.

To be completely up front: I had issues with Richard, the previous owner, which I posted on this thread earlier. I gave Joe a chance when he got the place. He has been good to me so I shop there now. I haven't talked to Joe about any of this, but was curious to see what was going on.

again, you have to search both name and zip found in that report and my address comes up in google results.

Still, posting the customers name shows what kind of low-life he really is and labeling someone as an illegal gun dealer and gunsmith really burns me. It's the thought of what others would think if they stumbled across his post claiming that.
