Party boat fluke fishing tomorrow 8/30/14

Recommended Posts

Anyone interested in hitting up a party boat tomorrow afternoon out of the Atlantic highlands municipal marina? The wife and I are going to jump on a boat in the afternoon and I always try to get as many people to go as possible so we can take over a whole section. Id rather stand shoulder to shoulder and tangle lines with someone I know(or kinda know) than a complete stranger. FYI I have been hearing that they have been catching some doormats, I heard of a 30" 9LB fluke that was caught the end of last week! Let me know if anyone is intrested

Im always down for a charter boat but I am going on a trip to North Carolina in September and blew my charter boat fund for this fall season but if you want to get something together for the future let me know. I know a few people who would be very interested in going as well

Do you have charters in mind already?

Maaaan , the Dauntless had everybody capping out on Sea Bass yesterday , and Fluke. Some Ling too. If I was not doing something else tomorrow...

But , in the future I was thinking of getting a Pro 2A crowd on The Purple Jet and going for Tuna in the fall.

In NJ I have been out on the tuna hunter before. I had a great time and at the time the crew were to notch but it was a few years ago and charter crews have a pretty high turn over rate. Ill ask around and see if I can get any recommendations. I have heard good things about the purple jet but I don't have any personal experience with the boat.

well all in all not a terrible day. we only caught 4 shorts and a buzz. boat was not packed and a few nice fish came over the rail. 27" was the pool winner. I enjoy just getting out on the water for a few hours and it was a bonus to catch a few even if they were not keepers. man one was close though lass than 3/4" short, oh well next year it will be a keeper.
