Zeke 5,504 Posted August 30, 2014 New striker fired lc9 from ruger! Apparently with a good trigger this time! You guys heard anything about it?

Scrap 4 Posted August 30, 2014 T Bill beat me to it, I was going to say, Hickok45 really really likes it. I am not a Ruger guy myself, and for full disclosure even if I was, I recently got a S&W M&P Shield 9mm which is about the best concealed carry gun I could ask for, I absolutely LOVE IT and could not be happier. And as far as the fact that *I MYSELF* bought it to be my dedicated every-day-carry gun, but others might have a different use for it- it totally serves a great purpose as a general purpose defensive, shootable, useable gun... With the 8-rd magazine installed (which features an integral grip extender/enhancer) the measurement is actually almost the same as a Glock 19 , which I'm sure is easily agreed that is a very controllable, grippable gun. The angle of the grip is designed after the 1911, and the bore axis is pretty much perfectly placed for accuracy and shootability. The whole package is just amazing and perfect for me. ... BUT I would be lying if I said these Rugers are junk, many many people loved the LC 9 and now this LC-9s is going to start a new wildfire of purchases, I'm sure. SJG 253 Posted August 30, 2014 Picked one up. I like it alot. Trigger is much better than lc9 but it could still use some tweaking, however, this is probably "it" Uses all lc9 mags and add ons. Light weight compared to others in class and accurate, 3 dot sights could be a hair larger. Limited to 7 and one in the pipe, unless you go with the extended 9 mag, which could use some asthetic fit improvement, but functionally works fine. This one is in between a pocket size and a compact size. There are several options in this "class" Assume they will eventually, release a bitone version and one that comes with a CT laser also. Only down side is this model has a mag disconect, which I really do not want or like. It has a trigger mechanism similar to a glock, but has a manual red dot saftey also. mark_anthony_78 0 Posted August 31, 2014 I bought an LC9 earlier this year, and while the trigger sucks for "bullseye" practice, I doubt it would be an issue in a close quarters self defense situation. That being said, I am always interested in adding to the collection (I have a lot of Rugers) so the striker fired version may join the gun cabinet someday.
