Getting right to it, here's the graphic:

 

 

Not very well sourced and can be picked apart really easily by anti-gun people. Criticism is well done at this link where I found the graphic:

Even if we see data supporting our side it's important to investigate it and verify the information before we regurgitate it. Bummer the info isn't better because the graphic itself is well done.

Without checking the source it is probably true that guns are being used 80x more often in defense against violent crime rather vs. used in violent crime, according to none other than Obama's multi-billion dollar 2013 capstone CDC anti-gun report.

 

But obviously that has nothing to do with the 31,000 number quoted which is likely the number of people killed with firearms involved (mostly suicides) and is not a measure of "gun incidents."

That's hard to believe. Suicides have been >60% of firearms related deaths as long as I can remember and I have no doubt they remain so today.
