SCFGPA (Milltown Rd in Bridgewater) Not accepting members for 3 years?

Recommended Posts

They did two rounds of new members but you needed to know a current member, and I think that's all over now, at least until the new recruits are given orientation and voted in.

I was there last week and everything was operational. Theoretically it will shut down for range upgrades some day but that's vaporware so far.

The website being down is a new one, though.

Welp, sounds like my chances of getting in are pretty bad. Still glad its just the website down and nothing more than that. Thanks for the info.

Private ranges in NJ are like private golf clubs - their private land, their rules and their members like it that way.  Fact of life in a densely populated state with a majority anti-gun populace.

Unless you have a personal connection with a member at a private range you have to suck it up and go to the nearest public range instead with the rest of the hoi polloi.

They opened membership but it's invite only at this time and only for 50 members.

  • membership will be open starting August 3rd and ending on August 31st
  • prospective applicants MUST have a club sponsor
  • club members can only sponsor 1 applicant
  • prospective applicants must have proof of training PRIOR to applying (NRA training class with range time, active/retired police/military)

Looks like they're stressing the prior training..... If you don't have it, do not apply...

I'm sure the members here have people they have in mind.... if not, maybe we can help....
