Mr.Stu 1,884 Posted September 5, 2014 I'm going to replace the handguard on my RRA Operator. I like the look of the AP carbon fiber because it is so light. http://nordiccomp.com/retail/shop/ap-custom-products/ap-custom-carbon-fiber-handguards/ I'm uncertain how long to go with it. The 12" will be just a little too short for me to go with a fully extended arm and over hand grip but the 15" will only be about an inch short of the muzzle brake. Is that going to be too close? The brake is the tactical muzzle brake shown here http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=276 What do you guys think? 7.62fmj 0 Posted September 5, 2014 I have a 15" hand guard on my 16" barrel. No functionality issues, it's really a matter of preference for aesthetics unless you're worried about balance or an extra ounce or so on the nose of your rifle.
checko 180 Posted September 5, 2014 I think an inch is plenty to clear the barrel, plus the length of the muzzle brake. Why that brake btw?
Mr.Stu 1,884 Posted September 5, 2014 Why that brake btw? I bought the rifle complete. It is what RRA put on it. Sent from my SCH-I800 using Tapatalk
