johnp 45 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) I purchased some aftermarket stuff to build a nice little .22 bench gun. I'm still waiting for the stuff in the mail, but now that I think about it, I don't want to rip apart a perfectly good gun to build another.... Does anyone know of any shops that sell 10/22 receivers? Ahh shit I meant to say any local NJ/PA gun shops. Where I could pick up and have it same day. TOMMY R 24 Posted September 5, 2014 A place called Tactical inc. they specialize in all things 10/22 http://www.tacticalinc.com/
jeff47 30 Posted September 5, 2014 I don't know of any local either but if you wind up having to order one, NoDak Spud builds them as well. I've been eying up their OD Green 10/22 Receiver for $165. Unfortunately once you add in the transfer cost of a receiver its not much less than a cheap 10/22. If you do find one locally I'd be interested in one as well. BlueLineFish 615 Posted September 5, 2014 Cheaper to buy a full 10/22. Im sure you can find a deal somewhere in NJ or PA

If you want it same day, you need to buy in NJ, receivers can only be purchased by instate residents who are 21 or older.

MedicYeti 96 Posted September 7, 2014 http://www.nodakspud.com/NDS-22.htm Not in NJ.
Oakridgefirearms 224 Posted September 7, 2014 No, I don't have any 10/22 receivers because I've never had anyone ask me for one........ But you stated you wanted to pick up a receiver same day in NJ or PA. You cannot buy a receiver in PA directly unless you are a dual NJ/PA resident. Not questioning you just curious what the difference is

A receiver is not a long gun. It has to go BANG to be a long gun.

Mikeythumbs 1 Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks PK. That kinda sucks but I guess it makes sense So then you can't buy a lower out of state either without shipping it to an FFL ?
