illy 1 Posted September 9, 2014 You silly revolver people! Look, we're not the ones who need all types of safety switches and buttons on our guns to keep us from shooting ourselves...

n4p226r 105 Posted September 9, 2014 how is it illegal if the barrels are the proper length, 18" shotgun and 16"+ rifle? because once you attach it to an AR it is now a semi-auto shotgun with a pistol grip.

Guest Posted September 9, 2014 because once you attach it to an AR it is now a semi-auto shotgun with a pistol grip. I didn't catch the 11-87 part, but it would be legal with a pump shotgun, right?
n4p226r 105 Posted September 9, 2014 i dont see why not. as long as its long enough barrel. most of the "master keys" are Short barrel
PeteF 1,044 Posted September 9, 2014 Quick access, loaded. Safe unloaded but with loaded mags in safe. i see no reason to leave the safe guns loaded. If I have the time to open the safe, an extra couple of seconds to load won't make any difference.

302w 83 Posted September 10, 2014 To whoever asked, my neighbor got his 11-87 for free or very close to free from the "cop" (or his family) who had it mounted under an AR15. The mounts looked atrocious and I doubt legality to the previous owner was a concern. If the 11-87 action length is close to an 870 action the whole thing had to be 28" or so to be legal federally. Anyway, I understand those that stash loaded defensive guns around. I just figured a slow action safe nullified the point of a loaded gun until my neighbor showed me that.
