302w 83 Posted September 12, 2014 I've been doing some quick browsing and it seems like garden variety 224 FMJ 55gr stuff is rather expensive. In the ballpark of 25 cents a bullet or more. Am I missing something? I know things are up in price right now, but I can buy loaded 223 for about 33-35 per round. I really didn't want to get into casting and swaging yet.. GRIZ 3,365 Posted September 12, 2014 Xtreme lists 55 gr at 43.99/500 and Midway has the same from Arms Corp at 50.99. On line shopping and buying in quantity are your friends.
T Bill 649 Posted September 12, 2014 Find new sources. Reloads can be done for .21/ea. Reusing brass. Savings is in the pill cost and reusing brass. Primer and powder savings is small potatoes.
