My New 91/30 With Mojo Sight

Recommended Posts

Bore is bright but very lightly frosted. Bolt matches but magazine is a force match. Having wasted my time and money on previous occasions on various Mosin scopes & mounts I decided to try a Mojo click adjustable aperture sight. Could not focus in front sight pin as the two circles were just too blurry for my eyes. So I cut the top off the front sight hood. That did the trick. Was able to walk it in to almost a bull’s eye at 50 yards with 10 shots. I will fine tune it at 100 yards next time out. For me anyway the Mojo works better than stock set up and way better than those crap aftermarket scope mounts with long eye relief scopes. No permanent mods except for front sight and that would be an easy fix if I wanted to.

Looks good. I did the Darrel Scout scope mount a while back and that was a bust. Maybe if I used a better scope it would have been better but I used a cheap Simmons scope.  The best front sight upgrade for me was the fiber-optic upgrade. Anyway the Mosin's are a blast to shoot, everyone should own 1 or 5, LOL

Didnt know Mojo made one for the 91/30, got one on my marlin 795 and am happy with it. Also for my 91/30 i have the scout set up with the Brass Stacker mount and am happy with its performence at least over the history of about 250- 300 rds. very solid. I may suggest the Mojo for my sons 91/30 his eyes are much better than mine and he was looking for something better than the stock sights.

oops, marlin has TechSight, got them mixed up.

How long did Smith sights take to send it to you?  I've been waiting over months on mine.  His site says to give him 120 days, which seems rather long to me.
