Recommended Posts

Anyone ever hear of this guy before --

Looks like a house on aerial view -- supposedly a deer butcher?

20 years ago I used a couple of guys in south plainfield who where both butchers for one of the big supermarkets --

They used to take a ton of time off during deer season to process deer at one of their homes -- they where awesome

Anyway -- anyone ever hear of Roger Walk?

I got the name from Nj hunter --  Did a search and nothing comes up except the name -- Probably a guy who started and didn't do well and is out -- I believe the butcher post "sticky" is fairly old

Address is close to home for me, maybe I'll take a drive by and see if there's deer hanging in the garage --  I guess I could call

Just dropped a deer off at roche in whitehouse -- Been there a few times, just a 25 minute drive each way...

Thats a long drive for you!

Not really Jer since I drop-off the Hog on the way home from the hunting trip.  I can even leave the Hog there when nobody is around as long as I tag it.  Whitehouse station is less than 35 minutes away from me during the regular business day since I'm only a coupla minutes from the Raritan River bridges.  Not too much trouble at all to go to a place with ZERO animal hair in the meat, fantastic smoke house bacon, hams and smoked pork chops, and fresh ribs and roasts and sausage is so good my wife wants me to go hunting again so I can get same quality Hog!  Round-trip it's a one-cigar ride, so I don't mind one bit!

i know theres a place up on rt 31 north of flemington,

Theres an excellent butcher in Washington twp. Tom the Butcher. Maybe the same place your offering to. I use Fred States in Stanhope or Jimmy Young in Blairstown closer to home for me. Both great butchers from my experience. I used to use Wayne Tincs before he passed away.
